The Madison Community Center announced that customers of the Madison Community Center will now be able to register for classes, recreational activities and community events through a web-based portal powered by Be Online, Inc. of Madison.
The portal will be available to community members beginning Wednesday and is expected to help streamline the registration process for a variety of activities, as well as provide a better overall user experience.
"We are extremely excited about partnering with BeOnline Services to offer the public the convenience to browse, search and register for activities and programs online," said Community Center Director Aaron Walter. "This new resource is going to provide an incredible service to our community."
The Community Center has a long history of serving the people of Madison and was itself a project built by engaged and active community participants. In 1994, the public demand for a wellness facility in the area was gauged through a community survey, and soon 75 volunteers had come together to form the committees that would be necessary to secure funding and provide a design for the center.
